Neotropic Cormorants

Big, sleek water birds, cormorants are often seen standing with outspread wings to dry off, as seen here. Neotropic Cormorants sometimes sound like oinking pigs and can be mistaken for the larger Double-crested Cormorant, another resident of the Southwest.
